My writing name is Kate Gray. I chose it for a number of reasons, not least of which is my real surname happening to be the same as another (much more famous) published author, and it’s not terribly common. It just seemed like a reasonable thing to pick a name that wouldn’t be what someone noticed about my writing…instead of the writing itself.
I have a degree in classical archaeology, and an insatiable love of history.
But what do I know? I just know what I like. And I write what I like.
